Carers Wales’ role is to improve things for all carers.  One way to do this is to ensure that the Welsh Assembly Government is aware of the issues about service planning and provision for carers across Wales. The Carers Grant is now part of the Revenue Support Grant. We therefore thought it was a good time to gather information from each local authority about the support and services that are available for carers. So a survey questionnaire was sent to each Director of Social Services in November 2005.

There was a 100% response from the Local Authorities in Wales. We feel this indicates the excellent co-operative relationships that exist in working towards providing better support for carers in Wales.
